??? Are you SERIOUS? He is by all accounts the most kick-a$s mascot around. Keep the fuzzy animal outfits out of here.

I just feel the need to say this again.
You can not get rid of Ragnar, I mean as far as I know he was picked by his predecessor.
Man I wish I knew his name.
I still remember him but never knew his name.

According to Wikipedia:

Another mascot associated with the Vikings was "Vikadontis Rex." V.R. was a purple dinosaur and was the official mascot of the Minnesota Vikings Children's Fund. V.R. took part in the 1995 Celebrity Mascot Olympics. Vikadontis was retired starting with the 2000 season.

Thankfully, several Google Image searches resulted in no pictures of V.R.

That pisses me off when somebody starts a topic (w/o much content) and gets the masses all jacked up!
Then, they never come back to it.

Sorry I didn't come back for a couple of hours, but I had to work.
Imagine that.
I never intended to suggest that Hagnar should be replaced by some fuzzy animal, just that Juranitch may be getting a little too long in the tooth and flabby around the middle.
I've seen a couple of fans in the stands that could walk into the character that look a lot more intimidating.

He fits the role perfect.
I am sure all Vikings were not doing the South Beach Diet and in shape.

He is an Viking icon.
If they replaced him there would be a huge backlash from fans and supporters.
