Is it time for the "Joe Webb" era to begin?

    Brett is done.
Jackson is not going to cut it.

    we are 2-5

Is it time to start the Joe Webb era?

    I think so.

And P.S. Fire Childress and the staff he rode in with.

I say it's time for the "Tarvaris Jackson gets to actually play football for once that isn't his first season starting in the NFL and don't bench him after 2 games era" to start.

Or give up on a second round draft pick that easily and put in the sixth round rookie who's never played a real game in the NFL and gets the least amount of reps in practice, either or.

We had that already but I suppose that you won't let something like facts get in your way.

Based on what? The last drive? If you ask me, he was one of the few players giving effort on it... and the only routes open were in the middle. He did well for what he was given, IMO. For example, did you see Randy lightly jogging back to line of scrimmage when he was trying to get a play off? The team had given up at that point.

Way to completely jump the gun... If there was anything I saw from Tarvaris once Favre got hurt, it was confidence, which appeared to what he was always missing previously.

I'm not saying that he's the answer, but calling for Webb at this point is very premature.

oh you mean in 07 when he went 8-4 in his first REAL season that wasn't even a full season and then in 08 when he was benched after the second game, came back and played pretty solid against 3 very good teams then had a bad game in philly?

    Get your facts straight.

let both of those clowns ride the bench. im tired of project game managing qbs. to put webb in is to just take 10 steps backwards. forget about the guy not even knowing how to read a defense, the guy will never be a starting qb for any team in the league ever. hes another tarvaris jackson. and dont even get me started on tarvaris, for god sakes he got boo'd off a preseason game vs denver

    Sure.

We just bypass our back-up and go right to the 3rd option.

    Did you not post:

Well, if I am counting correctly he was given the opportunity to start both the 2007 and 2008 seasons. He was officially named the starter and if he can't stay healthy and play well enough to not get benched then it is his problem.

Or was one of those years starting a freebie in your world.?
