Thread: Tice to Miami!

Cajun- I am with you , I think Tice should be gone but you wouldn't fire him until the season is over anyway. It would be crazy if you did after all he is still in first place!! If he can turn around the team's horrible play and make the playoffs AND win the first playoff game then, yeah keep him, exercise his option for next year. I wouldn't sign him to a long term deal though. I was a big Tice fan when he got the job but he is terrible with clock management and some of his decisions are very suspect. He has a lot of learning to do as a head coach.

Why would Miami, or any team, want him? He is not out of a job yet.

With the Vikings schedule for the second half of the season, there are two teams with losing records that they could lose to, Washington and Chicago. Therefore Tice doesn't have much to prove about losing to bad teams. However, if he can come out of the stretch with 5 wins out of 8 he would help make his case for sticking around, especially if one or more of these are without Moss.

I still think it will take a first round playoff win to guarantee to bring Tice back for another year. Even if the Vikes get to the playoffs and get embarrased in the first round, Tice must go!

I don't think Miami being a storied franchise will only go for a high profile coach even if he is from the college ranks.
