    Re: thoughts on brian williams?

The bottom line is that he is not as good as Smoot, period. He just has to decide does he want to be on a super bowl team or traded off to a team like the Niners or Browns.

I am just glad Brian Russell is gone...talk about overrated. What is it with the Browns taking our safties any ways...First Robert Griffith and now Russell..no wonder why the Browns cannot win more than 5 games a year.

He's an awesome nickelback. I think he could be a starting cornerback for less than half the teams in the NFL. He's solid, maybe a bit above average, when firing on all cylclinders, but mostly just an average corner. He makes big plays when he's covering a team's 3rd best receiver, but I don't think he'll ever be a shutdown corner good enough to put on a #1 WR.

    Wait, how was he injured?

He's a good corner who had a bad year because of injury.

    He seemed fine to me.

Brian Williams can be our nickelback....but he isn't a great CB, if he was the Vikes secondary would not have sucked last year...
