Thread: A Thought I Had.....

If you remember, when we drafted Erasmus James, everyone was talking about his best quality-his first step-supposedly by far the quickest. Now if I'm not mistaken, he went out with a torn/blown acl. Now he might be able to come back next year, but I doubt he will have that quick first step. Couple that with our lack of a pash rush and I think the pass rush situation could possibly be even worse next year. Hate to put a grim outlook on it, but I couldn't stop thinking about that. What are your alls thoughts on it?

I believe with technology today, he will be just fine.
So many other players have done it.
Look at Carson Palmer.
If he can do it, then so can E.James.

But thats a qb, not a pass rushing defensive end. It's pretty much strength and speed that'll get you the pressure. With a qb, you don't really have to be that quick with your feet, it's just a bonus if you are.

Flat out- our pass rush CANNOT get any worse.
James will be an upgrade regardless.

Erasmus James is going to be fine.
What won't be fine is that WR core.
What's amazing is that New England really doesn't have any good WR except Reche Caldwell and they still manage to get it done.
That is the difference between winning teams and everybody else.

That's good coaching, playcalling, and determination in the players themselves more than anything. That would be why they are a winning team. Plus, recently the patsies have had an eye for undiscovered talent.

I've been looking around but can't find anything at the moment. I guess with the Playoffs in full swing then individual player news isn't so interesting for the media at the moment.

This is actually my biggest concern going into next season.
EJ has a lack of exprience and plus the injury.
He is a big question mark this coming season.
Udeze has to be considered a bust at this point.
A number 1 draft pick who had 0 sacks this year.
Our other DEs are young guys who also have a lack of exprience.
We definitly need to go after a proven veteren DE this season.

I think his knee injury will limit him. RB's cut harder than DE do and there has been a few of those lately (Mcalister/Mcgahee etc).


Additionally, didn't Adrian Peterson have an injury like this also.
