Thinking about Coming out to Minny for a Game
Hey everyone, me and a couple friends are thinking about making a road trip to out to Minnesota to play some poker in the Casinos and watch a Vikings game. We were thinking about the Lions game and I was just wondering if anyone knew where I could get some cheap tickets, a cheap hotel, and also wondering if anyone knew if for sure if you only have to be 18 to play in casinos in minny. Thanks

Yeah, you only need to be 18 to go to casinos here. To make it easy on yourself you could just get a hotel in Bloomington near the mall and just take the free shuttle to Mystic Lake Casino and then take the light rail to the game.

You should definately make it out. The Lions game is traditionally cheap (because its the Lions), but with the extra excitement around the Vikings this year the tickets are going for higher than normal. Most of them that I have seen on eBay are going for face value - and a LOT of them look like limited view tickets.
I did find 3 in the section 224, row 23 for $35 each on stub hub. That is well below face, and would not be limited view.
The Lions game is sold out on TicketMaster, so my recommendation would be to look for row 26 or lower on Stub Hub, or go to the NFL Ticket Exchange.

Ticket Exchange is guaranteed, will tell you if they are limited view or not, and the prices are close to what they are going for on Stub Hub and eBay right now.
You could also try Singer, he has a magic touch with tickets.Zeus wrote:
When are you going to realize that picking out the 20 bad throws this year and ignoring the 300 good ones does not make your point?

Ok well once we figure out who all wants to go among my friends I'll get the tickets. Nodak, thanks for the link.
Also, and I feel really stupid asking this, but I've never been to a casino so I just want to make sure they have poker there. I went to Mystic Lakes website and under gaming the only table game was blackjack, so not sure if it just doesn't mention poker or what. Probably a stupid question, but one I don't know the answer to.I am NOT here to provide good football insight or rational observations. Not a stupid question because Mystic Lake is a dumb casino. No alcohol is allowed on the property and they don't have poker tables. Poker rooms in MN
I think Canterbury is the closest one. Running Aces is near my parent's house north of the cities; I've never been, but heard it's nice and they have a good buffet. I don't know about the age requirements for these places, but I think it's still 18 for any gambling in Minnesota.

Ya I saw reviews for the casino and most everyone hates it. The no alcohol thing isn't a big deal for me as I am 18 and don't drink. Thanks for the link to poker rooms. Any idea which of those is closest to the Metrodome?12purplepride28 wrote:
