Im not sure. When I last went to Minnesota for a game I stayed at the hotel near the U. OF M. $75.00 a night. I was just there over night but it was a nice place to stay. I would call the airport and ask them. I would also do it soon and get a reservation going before all the room get filled. :rr:

The light rail line is supposed to be open all the way to the airport in December 2004. For a couple of bucks you can get from the airport to downtown, just a couple of blocks from the dome. There's a couple of hotels within a few blocks of the light rail.

My point..., You might not even need to rent a car. Take the rail to downtown, walk a block or two to a hotel, then to the dome, and back on light rail to the airport.

I'm not sure of the actual date of the light rail opening. I've attached a link for reference.

It is open, and will be open to the Airport in December, so touch and go for that game...I would imagine they make it though. Cost too much politically to be late.

We are also going to the Vikes game against the Seahawks in December. We have made reservations to stay at the Holiday Inn on Washington Ave which is 3 blocks from the dome. So, on Sunday morning, just wake up early and walk to the Dome and do a little tailgating before the game. See ya there!

Here's the link for the Holiday Inn Metrodome. It'll work great as long as the light rail line reaches the airport.

Incidentally, there's a great outside plaza on the downtown side of the dome. KFAN (Vikes flagship station broadcasts from there), and there's tents set up for beer, and memorabilia, and there's hot dogs and stuff. Bring a warm jacket though..., although it's a warm atmosphere, December can get a little chilly.
