I don't think that moving up for that pick makes a whole lot of sense.

I am firmly on the Johnny Football bandwagon ... but we would probably have to give up this year's first, next year's first and this year's second just to get there ... unless there is not much of a bidding war, then we might get it for a little bit less. But at worst it will likely cost us this year's and next year's first.

Could be well worth it ... could also set us back a bit.

If all 3 QBs plus Watkins and Clowney go early, that means exciting things for us whether we trade down (#8's value goes through the roof!!) or take someone like Mack or Barr. Either way, with this coaching staff, I feel like we can't lose with this draft.

Let's hope I'm not being WAY too optimistic!!

hell no. There's no "sure thing" to give up what it would take to get there.
    Skol Vikings! Go Cubs!

If the Vikings were to make a move like that, this may actually be the best year to do it. Maybe give up this years first and next years second.
This years draft has players in the second round and beyond, that could be first round talent in other years. The Vikings could make a strong move for a QB and still pick up some great draft picks.
I'm not on the Johnny Football bandwagon. I felt he was a little late or short on about 10 % of his pro day passes. But there is absolutely no denying the accuracy.
I'm skeptical, but maybe he is worth it.

I think is mostly a matter of who Turner wants for QB this year. If he is ok with Cassell or Ponder then we don't trade up. If he thinks this is the year to try for a franchise QB then they will do what they have to do to get there. Personally I think they won't trade up to get some one but will make due while building up the defense this year.

No way is he even considering Ponder. I don't know a tenth of what Norv knows about offense and I wouldn't even consider Ponder after last year.
I bet you could use a cool one huh Clark...Now you're talkin Eddie...
