Teddy Gone too??

Cowart reminds me a little bit of how Biekert ended his career with us. COwart is better, but I think if he stays with us his career will end the same way. Too old, too slow, filling the wrong gaps, missing tackles, etc. I think he's got at least another year left in him though.

i think our defensive line is fine for next year, william bros in the inside and erasmus, udeze and/or scott as ends, and maybe when pat gets tired mosley or scott can come in, now we need to figure out our LB's and SS and our defensive should be ready to dominate next year

Just because you represent 23 pros and 3 HoF's does not mean you know anything about football. Those 26 guys probably preferred to hire a guy who has no idea about the game.

Heres what I Think we should do

Move Darrion Scott to defensive tackle with Mosley
Get two young pass rushing ends to back up our de's
Move EJ to MLB(you saw what he could do yesterday)
Give Napoleon More chances( he is a great athlete)
Let Cowart go(getting old, and we wont be needing teddys guys if he is not here)
Newman can stay as a backup
Get Julian Peterson or Lavar Arrington or Will Witherspoon
Get Offord back and get a strong safety to compete in the mix
Get a free safety sharper can mentor

Finally, get rob marinelli to coach our team. I would love to see the tampa 2 scheme on our defense.

I also think K Will should lose more weight to add to his speed, and that Erasmus James needs to bulk up a lil bit, and that Darion Scott would be a good fit at dt if he doesnt lose weight because he would be a good interior bull rusher with the strength he has.

We really have alot of work to do guys.

Darrion is fine where he is at backup DE. Don't forget that we still have Pat Williams, Kevin Williams, Spencer Johnson and CJ mosley at DT. Not ALL of our DE need to be speed rushers. I think Kenechi and Erasmus will do well next season.

I do think it is time for E.J. to move back to MLB, hopefully he has learned enough by now. I would only keep Cowart as a backup. Napoleon should be given another shot in training camp next year, but I wouldn't hold my breath. Newman should definitly be kept on for another couple years. I doubt that we will be able to sign any of those free agents though, they probably won't hit the market.

Dustin Fox is a FS that Sharper can mentor. I wouldn't mind getting a new SS too, although that isn't as pressing.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't we just establish that taking a position coach with no coordinator experience and making him head coach isn't the answer? Furthermore, what does the defensive line coach have to do with the defensive backfield scheme? Finally, his name is Rod.

I'm going to side with Jackyl on this one.
