Re: Team not thrilled with Taylor’s work ethic

i met him too.. he looked at me and said, "how much for the donkey?"

i didn't know what to think.

--it is too early to say anything about him...he should be in better shape for sure but he does have 2 months before even a preseason game.

Gary Russell! It's time to take out some insurance. Who knows what Taylor will do. Let's take a chance on our future. The Vikes can develop Tavaris(which i think is a freakin joke) and Gary Russell. Just hope Russell isn't an attitude problem.

russell? he was a back-up in college. The vikings could have went out and got a sure thing, but chose to go this route. All fans can do is sit and hope for the best.

You should chose your words a little more carefully.

Bad news. It's still early so he better get his act in gear during TC or Mewelde will be stealing his starting spot away.

If Taylor doesn't have his jiggly butt in shape for training camp, you just keep giving him the ball and the reps until he either puks or plays his way into shape.

    Why?
Are you not a big DEVO fan?

    Crack that whip
    Give the past the slip
    Step on a crack
    Break your momma's back

    When a problem comes along
    You must whip it
Before the cream sits out too long
    You must whip it
    When something's going wrong
    You must whip it

    now whip it
    into shape
    shape it up
    get straight
    go forward
    move ahead
    try to detect it
    it's not too late
    to whip it
    whip it good

When a good time turns around
    You must whip it
You will never live it down
    Unless you whip it
    No one gets their way
    Until they whip it

    I say whip it
    Whip it good

    'DEVO'

And by the way, some of the greatest NFL stars of all timme have been crappy practice players.
Only poor game time performance can justify a need to crack down on a player in practice.
Aimless yelling at a player in practice with no reference point to their game performance will only lower his morale and possibly the team morale.
A sucessful coach is pro-active instead of reactive.

Re: Team not thrilled with Taylor’s work ethic

I'm going to wait for at least a preseason look before I react about this. These guys at the Sports Xchange whatever that is are reporting something we already heard two weeks ago for all I know they are really slow or just looking to start something and Taylor has stepped it up since then.
