The Sports Xchange reports the Minnesota Vikings are not thrilled with RB Chester Taylor's work ethic. Taylor is not in the best of shape at this point in the offseason.
Re: Team not thrilled with Taylor’s work ethic
Do I smell trouble? He better step up his efforts. This does no tie very well with what he says he is ready to do for the Vikes
Re: Team not thrilled with Taylor’s work ethic
Why? WHYWHYWHYWHYWHY??? may not mean anything, but then again, maybe it does. Hopefully he picks it up.
Re: Team not thrilled with Taylor’s work ethic
This is a test for Childress .. he needs to throw down the hammer on this guy.. Get him to know that this is not for fun!
Re: Team not thrilled with Taylor’s work ethic
He was at all the OTA's, so I hope if he wants to be the guy he gets ready now. And if he isn't Childress better call him on it. No slackers. Skol
Re: Team not thrilled with Taylor’s work ethic
This is something I was afraid of with Chester....I had a real bad feeling about him when the Vikings signed him to that BIG deal.....
I just knew that once he finally cashed in he would take the lazy way out and not be what the VIKINGS were hoping he would be.
Guess I will still be pulling for Fason to be the man....Moore has great tools, but he is just too small and gets hurt too much.....Mewelde will be a good "change of direction" type RB,but to be a "featured" back,he is just too small to take that kind of pounding.
Re: Team not thrilled with Taylor’s work ethic
Hmmmm this is not good news.Unfortunately for Taylor he has alot to prove to us.This isnt end of the world news....but it could escalate if it isnt dealt with soon.
Re: Team not thrilled with Taylor’s work ethic
Now why in the blue hell would a career backup RB come into camp with his new team slated to be the starting RB for the first time in his career out of shape? I just don't get it.. Now don't you think he has something to prove? If he is out of shape, he will tire faster, thus not be able to carry the load.. He better change his tune, or he will find himself backing up once again, this time in Minnesota..
Re: Team not thrilled with Taylor’s work ethic
Ok this may not be what it looks like. Maybe the team is just blowing smoke? I dont know but once again it is only june and he has 3 months to get in shape. I just know he wont mess up because I met him one time at a autograph session and I asked him one question: Where do you want to play in the NFL? He looked at me and said "I will play and work hard anywhere someone wants me!" So I think he will come through so that is just me!!
Re: Team not thrilled with Taylor’s work ethic
I would hope that we did some research to see if his work ethic has been a problem in the past. If your going to sign a guy and all but hand over the starting position, you should atleast check out his background.
