CT is my favorite player on the team behind Winny. Pure class.

Great article... It's a great feeling to have the best 1-2 punch in the league.

With T-Jacks scrambling ability (although I realize T-Jack is a pass first QB), I think we'll easily be the #1 rushing team again. I hope we see T-Jack use his legs more to make plays... but that's just my opinion.
I agree, if there is room for that he could gain a nice amount of yards. But you have the haters like last year who said he went for the TD like in the last 2 games of the year and was selfish. I say if he gets a chance for the rushing TD himself go for it! who cares as long as we get those 6 points on the board

A TD is a TD no matter who scores.
If he sees the chance to get an easy 6 why take the chance to pass?
    Run it in.
This is what tells me he has the capability to take over a game when it is on the line.
No one should scrutinize him for scoring a TD when he has the chance.
    Why is that selfish?

CT is incredibly important to the health of our offense.
Yet when I mentioned that fact a few years ago, before we even signed CT, I was scoffed at & the majority of the people here said we needed an every down back instead.

    Thanks for the read GG.

What is Chester Taylor's role going to be, and how are the Vikings going to keep the veteran happy?
LOL, I scoff at the yutz's out there who worry that CT won't be happy here in MN in a two back set.
If he's not happy here in this two back set, were will he be happy?

Lets not forget that the league is a copy cat league.
Be successfull with 2 backs and everyone will be doing it.

    Guess what?
Teams were starting to do it long before we had CT and AD together.

I must not have been a member yet.
The two back set, although still a novel idea, was starting to take hold 4 or 5 years ago.

You should go search and pull those yutz's scoffing up and we will ridicule them together.

That was a good article, but I don't understand this...
Although using the two together would seem like an opportunity to cause headaches for defenses and get both playing time, Childress doesn't seem to have a great interest in doing so.
I think that Chilly should be using them together for at least 15 - 20 plays a game.
You know every defense will key on AP.
I hope they send him out in motion a lot and send Chester up the middle for chunks of yards.

By design a two back system uses the two backs to stay fresh, healthy not only during the game but throughout the whole season.

If you start running them both out there you weare them both down quicker thereby negating the benifit of running a two back system.

As to running a back up the middle to chew up yards when AD/CT go out in motion or split out, that is what a FB is for.

My guess it is why they brought Tapeh in for.
Decent blocker in the run and in the pass and can also run and catch the ball which gives him the flexibility to achieve that which you speak of in your post.

we still need an every down back.
we actually have two of them, but they split carries.
If one was the starter, and the other only had brief playing time, that would be fine, because they are both good backs.
The problem a few years ago, was our running back combo consissted of Mewelde Moore, and Michael Bennett.
That doesn't instill a lot of confidence.

They should have both CT and AD in the backfield... instead of just switching them out.
