    Re: Taylor bears the load

    How was CT's pass blocking.
he is getting a lot of credit for 31 carries, but did he pass block?

I ask this question, because I didn't see the game, only clips.

Didnt reallyu notice his pass block, but he was sure good coming out of the backfield.

And 31 carries for 88 total yards=sucks for the OLine.

Go to this link, and reevaluate you opinion.

    There is room for improvement.

I think that Wash will be one of the tougher D's we play this year.
We will have to wait until the stats have time to average out to see if that is true or not, but they have had good D in the past few years and still have the same D coordinator and similar personel.

Good news, Taylor looked better then most of us thought he would (hats off to Childress for this).

Bad news, the most expensive OLine in the history of the NFL sucks with the running game IMO. They are decent with the pass protection though.

I wouldn't go as far as saying they suck..

    Big Mac- Playing extremely well
Hutch- New.. Somewhat gelling.. Still best lineman we got though
Birk- First game back.. Give some time to get his feet under him more
Hicks- New.. Fairly good.. Wait for him to prove himself more
Johnson- Fairly new to RT.. 2nd year player.. Needs a bit more time at the position

Just let the line gel and we will have a top 5 line soon!

    One Love
I agree that we should give them more time.
If the coaches continue to run through the close games and have faith in the plan, then they (O-line) will (gel).
If the front office can keep them together as long as possible, we will be even better in years to come.

    Taylor also did well receiving.
I watched the game again yesterday and today, Taylor did well giving BJ an outlet.
He's got soft hands for catching.

I don't know, I know I'm blind when it comes to my Vikings, but I just have this feeling we are on the verge of something special, like we are watching the birth of a new Vikings era, a successful one.
    Mostly it's the Smith benching.
This ownership, these coaches, they mean what they say.
They have a plan and they are executing.
Benching Smith and staying with the run while behind and tied.
Smoot separting the receiver from the ball in the endzone.....When was the last time we were tough?
Even in 98 we were all dazzle and just flat out out-scored everyone.
Keep em under 30 and we will win.
    And we did --
    31-28 most of the time.

Taylor is a great one to carry load and the O-line will earn their keep.
I bet we go 11-5 and see the Conference game.
And this is just the first year.
    Wait until Jackson takes over.
    We are going to ROCK!!

    Go vikes

Wasn't it Sharper who executed that endzone separation?

Yes, I think you are right.

I think that it will be this week unless Carolina has managed to patch up their run D.

They gave up 204 yards to the RBs and another 48 to Vick.
Granted they can concenrate on the RB this week instead of worrying about the mobility of the QB but hopefully we can get 100 yds for CT.
