Re: Tarvaris starter next season or not??
TJack has a cannon for an arm and he can escape.
The last touchdown was in garbage time, but it showed vision of the field - regardless of how much both teams had already packed it in, it was still NFL football, and #7 rolled out, threw off of his back foot, with two Rams bearing down on him, and threw it to the spot only Taylor(?) could catch it.
Besides that, I already bought my Jackson jersey, I'm not buying a Bollinger ;DBring me the prisoners; I want them alive!

I would anticipate right now that there's competition," he said. "We want competition in all those positions, so I'm not crowning anybody right now."
i guess childress didnt think who he thought he was....

We are obviously in rebulding mode now, so I don't see why not.

Re: Tarvaris starter next season or not??
I completely forgot about Daunte's fumbles/INT's. Yeah, geez, TJ is better than that, and TJ still has a future in the NFL. Daunte....i don't think so much.

Re: Tarvaris starter next season or not??
Daunte threw for 4717 yards and 39 TDs in one year, while only throwing 10 INTs, 110.9 QB rating and completing 69.2% of his passes. TJack was on pace for 1866 yards 11 TDs, 21 INTs, and a 58% completage percentage. So you probably shouldn't be comparing the two.
Daunte wasn't healthy and lost his best receiver in 05, but his production in 04 was unheard of from a Vikings QB.
Don't count your chickens before they hatch, TJack still has a lot of work to do.

Re: Tarvaris starter next season or not??
From today's MMQB by Peter King:
I see Brad Childress and Andy Reid competing for Jeff Garcia's services in the offseason. Old Pals. Minnesota and Philly. Who will win? My guess is Philly.
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/writers/peter_king/12/31/week17/5.html
If so, either Garcia or McNabb could be the odd man out. I wouldn't mind either of the two competing for the QB position in Minnesota next season.Even babies know the difference.

Re: Tarvaris starter next season or not??
I don't think T Jackson has the weapons yet to be the starter.
He will need to learn more before he can be a starter in the NFL.
Give him a year or two on the bench and get a veteran in here to take over for a little while.
