Tarvaris Jackson: Vikings' Quarterback of the Future?

    http://bleacherreport.com/articles/7369-NFL-Minnesota_Vikings-Tarvaris_Jackson_Vikings_Quarterback_of_the_Future _-230108

Minnesota Vikings quarterback Tarvaris Jackson started to show signs of improvement as this season progressed. The Vikings' record of 8-8 is better than most Viking fans were expecting this season.

"T-Jack" struggled to make routine throws at the start of the year, which really showed Week 2 against Detroit.
Jackson threw 4 interceptions in that game and completed just 50 percent of his passes for about 160 yards.

Adrian Peterson and Chester Taylor were able to help him grow as a quarterback as well. Minnesota posted the league's best rushing attack this year, which was able to take pressure off Jackson, and allow him to comfortably learn the offense. During the Vikings late season 5-game win streak, Jackson started to make routine throws look just that, routine...

This article seems to be correct in my opinion.
I think we should try to keep TJack in the starting positon and try to deal Troy Williamson for other players/draftpicks.
But who would be dumb enough to take TWill?
    Bernard Berrian may
be to exspensive but definatly an option to help us.
I do think we should invest in a DE in the draft.
Greenway was a mid 1st round pick and I think we could get a decent DE in the draft.
If not just look into the best posiable player at ANY position.
We had a great RB and still picked AD.... And look what fell to us!!!

    Sign Allen or Suggs
Trade TWill for Walker...( even if he doesn't play is that a drop off from production?)
Find a RT any RT and have him push Cook.

Bring in a Qb like Pennington

Tarvaris is the guy, he will be the starter next year and will prove the naysayers wrong with a breakout year.

I agree that he will be the guy next year but I don't necessarily believe that he won't struggle at times next year as well.

Gonna be another year of highs and lows from the QB position.
Heres hoping there are more highs than lows.
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v343/josdin00/Vikings/Marrdro_sig.jpg

I really think you're right; I believe in him.
We just need to get him some weapons.

This year we sent him to a gun fight with knives....

Re: Tarvaris Jackson: Vikings' Quarterback of the Future?

Totally disagree. A QB with a 45 % completion percentage in a "west coast offense" is a total joke. We need a real NFL QB, not a guy who had a 45 % completion percentage in I-AA college football. Let's just review: Childress (a coach who took a 9-7 team and turned it into an 8-8 club and got totally outcoached by the Redskins this year) thinks that he can turn T-Jakcs into McNabb (meanwhile, McNabb is not even that good anymore, by NFL standards).

Does anyone here still believe the hype ?

Or prove the "naysayers" right, and then they will be told that they just don't "understand" football and t-jack is "the man".
I think T-Jack could be efficient in the system, but if he doesn't break out after another season it might be time to think about a new guy.
