    Great news on Tarvaris. It's key for him to be there, and get as many reps as he can get.

    As for Greenway, I'm pretty sure rookies can't report to training camp unless they're signed, so no contract = holdout. Now, first round contracts are tricky, because everyone is waiting for everyone else to sign so they know where their contract should be slotted, so naturally everyone waits for the last minute. If Greenway isn't signed tonight, and he does have a holdout, I wouldn't expect it to last more than a day. I haven't heard about any problems at the negotiating table that would cause a lengthy holdout.

    I'm confident that he will be signed sometime tonight. He doesn't strike me as the type to hold out, he just wants to get to camp!

    Nice find. It appears they would really have to try to stiff him for him not to sign. Bring on camp.

    Vikings first-round pick Chad Greenway remained unsigned Wednesday morning but the linebacker made it clear he has no interest in being a late arrival to training camp. Rookies are scheduled to report Thursday.

    “We’re trying to get it figured out,” said Greenway, reached on his cell phone Wednesday as he drove from South Dakota to the Twin Cities.
    Sounds to me like he's on his way to sign the contract and go on to Mankato.

    I think taking the year off will be great for him. He seems like the complete package he just needs to learn and get used to the NFL pace.

    Hopefully he can be the leader that Culpepper never was.

    Yeah, hopfully T-Jack will be able to make the transition between small college and the NFL. He has a lot of potential and hopfully he will take a couple of snaps this season.

    Man, I hope Greenway sign before tomorrow's camp starts.. I would hate to see him miss the training camp.. It is so important that all rookies attend camp from day 1 so they can learn the system..

    I hope he signs tonight, or tomorrow morning.. Get it done Wilf..

    Great news to hear on the T-Jack signing!

    And I also loved Greenways comment;

    “My goal is to take any anxiety away from the Minnesota people that I’ll be there in time,” he said. “I don’t want to holdout and ruin my rookie year. I want to be a guy who is there on time. … I’m hoping to get word that we have something acceptable for both sides and get it signed and done.”

    It tells me he has confidence that he'll be at camp very soon with a signed contract in hand.

    Yea, it looks promising. Plus, the other contracts are all done so what's left of the rookie pool is all there is. Really, it's just structure at this point.
