    MANKATO —
Last season, Minnesota Vikings quarterback Tarvaris Jackson struggled against the blitz. On Wednesday, coach Brad Childress sent several blitzes at his quarterback, trying to gauge improvement....

This is exactly what we are looking for from Tarvaris. Making quick reads and getting the ball to the right guy. Let them stack the box and test us. I think with 12 games under his belt and a great offseason we will see a big improvement in our passing game and Tarvaris will take a big step. I'm not gonna say he'll be perfect, but he will show why the team, and coaches have faith in him. Let's go Tarvaris.

Interesting... Chilly said TJ is having a great camp... Chilly isn't the sort to give out high praise often... is he blowing smoke or has TJ really impressed him in camp?

Thanks for the read my friend.

Childress said Jackson completed 3 of 4 passes against the blitz, though there was one fumbled exchange from center in the shotgun formation and another play in which Jackson would have likely been sacked by Jared Allen if contact on the quarterback was allowed.
Couple of bad nuggets in there.........

Don't make any judgements until you see him in the preseason playing against 1st team opponents. That will tell us if he has the basics down against vanilla 1st string defenses. If he excels there we can look forward to the season. If he struggles we will be in for a long season.

Way to go T-Jack. I knew that you could do it. Just a matter of time.

He will be fine this season. In fact, I say we get 10 wins.

Who wouldn't get sacked by Jared Allen. He averaged almost 1 sack a game.
