StillPurple can moderate the 'I hate Tarvaris Jackson' forum and he can twist all posts into some form of hate for the man.

CCtheBest can moderate the 'I hate Brad Childress' forum and he can twist every possible scenario into a blame game and hate on Childress.

I propose these two new forums because these two members have stood out from the crowd as people that will continue to hate, regardless of the circumstances.
You my friend are wise beyond your years.

We could also add in a title on thier profile to reflect the same

From where I`m sittting the ship seems to be heading in the right direction. I`ve always heard Defense wins championships and the purple-D`s looking formidible.
As far as Offense I`m stoked after TJacks performance Fri. and the run game.

First off, I just threw that out there for discussion purposes. I hope T-Jacks does well, I really do. The purpose of a forum is to discuss ideas, no ?

I am a little surprised when people attack me personally for something I posted. Is that necessary ? Please next time, put up reasons why you think I am wrong. I am open to argument, and I admit it when I am wrong. But just writing that I am an idiot won't convince me. Also, questioning if I am a troll or not a Vikes fan doesn't cut it either, especially from some "newbee" that just logged on for the first time (please check how many posts I already have on this forum). I have been watching the Vikes since 1972, probably before many of you guys were born, so please do me the favor of not impugning my status as a real fan.

There is this notion that Tarvaris is so "unknown" that we just have to wait and see. But like all QBs, there IS evidence of what he has done, and it is called college. Did Vince Young come into the NFL a blank slate ? how about Peytong Manning ? These were guys who won bowl games at major schools, by throwing and running offenses against big-time defenses. We DO, contrary to what everyone says, have "tape" on T-Jacks, from I-AA Alabama State, and to be honest, he was not that impressive against I-AA defenses. How do you think Vince Young would have done against East Mississippi STate ? Answer: lit them up, every Saturday. I just don't see that with T-Jacks.

We already had a QB who couldn't read a defense and fumbled way too much.

He did not fumbled against the Rams and he did well against the Rams D which, I think is better than Miss State.

    was not that impressive?
did you see his senior season stats?
and everyone forgets he was a division one qb, but he didnt wanna sit behind a guy who was such a good athlete he ended up being drafted in the 1st round at wr.

it's a matter of bad timing for a post like this.
tavaris looked every bit of all the things this post claims hes not in the 1st preaseson game.
so some observation by some guy i dont know is contrary to everything i saw and have read otherwise.
it sounds like this guy already had preconcieved notions of what tavaris was and basically just focused on that.
just an assumption, but by the sound of it, he fits the bill.

You were alive in 1972 and still write this poorly and have such poorly formed opinions chasing down one agenda?
Look ... I already commented on why I called you and idiot and DID BACK IT UP. Your "woe is me ... why is everyone picking on me" whining is not going to change the fact that you are an idiot and make posts with the same lack of "Reasons" that so long for us to give you on why you are an idiot.
Ryan Leaf came from a big school and played in Bowl Games, so did Akili Smith, Kyle Boller, Joey Harrington, Tim Couch, Rick Mirer, Tommy Maddox, Todd Marinovich, Jeff George, etc. How did they all pan out? Pretty sh1tty I think.
Meanwhile, people like Steve McNair, Brett Favre and Randall Cunningham came from small programs and were not very bally-hooed before making their impacts in the league (all three struggling for a couple of years before becoming great).
The fact is ... you never offer up any solutions ... What did you want the Vikes to do? Start Bollinger or Holcomb? Go after Jake Plummer? Super Bowl bound there. Wanted Brady Quinn so you could bash him when he looked like a rookie?
Point is ... people don't like you because you don't "discuss" ... you twist and turn to try and make everything that is wrong with the Vikes fall on Tarvaris and Tarvaris only, all while acting like anyone who supports him is crazy and have no reason to do so. That is why people think you are an idiot.

Dude, most posters (me included) usually get a few chances to get credibility on this site.
Most of the older guys/gals are IMHO very forgiving with respect to new posters.

However, in your case you continually post such negative drivel that as time goes by most will give up trying to put intelligent convo in your threads.

Take your time and come up with a legitimate idea if you feel you have to start threads of this nature.

Additionally it would help if you did a bit of research on here regarding your topics.
In most cases your stuff has already been beaten to death in at least 3 threads.

Remember my friend, a negative post will often times get negative responses.
Positive rationale well thought out posts will stimulate rationale well thought out responses.

Re: Tarvaris continues to struggle !

I think Tavaris looked nice and sharp. The thing that stood out the most was pocket awareness. He could feel the pocket collapse without having to look. A few of his throws were slightly off target but I'm sure that will improve.

My only concern is with his running ability. While he is a phenominal athlete who looks good running, I have rarely seen him get by the first tackler. I remember last year he juked one guy out of his shoes but that was the sole highlight of his running ability. Don't get me wrong, this is NOT a knock on the kid, I'd rather have my QB pass than run anyday! But after seeing Thigpen scramble and pick up a couple first downs, I just realised that I didn't see Jackson evade a tackler through any moves. It was all speed.

The lesson? TJ is no Vick or Vince Young. But I have no problems with that. He was decisive. If nothing was open, he tucked it an ran it. That's 50% improvement over last year's QB.

    Halo 4. Start another fight.

You didn't want to discuss an idea.
You through out something written in the Sporting News and asked for convincing.

    Blah, blah, blah.
Look, if you don't want to support Jackson, don't.
If you don't want to support the Vikings, don't.
If you have a problem with the way we respond to your borrowed ides, leave.

Why don't you tell us why you don't think Tarvaris will make a good QB?
