Didn't we have pretty much the same front line last year as we do this year other than McKinnie being out for 4 games?"The" wrote:
Actually the Superstar and Dubay were talking about this Sunday. Petersons big runs last year were in a single back set. Which leads me to believe that the OL sucks this year. I think Birk and Hutch are solid but the rest are garbage.Sure am glad we let Tony Richardson go.

From what I heard Childress changed the blocking scheme from last year. I think that is the problem."marstc09" wrote:

Re: Tapeh released
This is just an assinine move!!... We spend all this money for this guy, let T-Rich go, who happened to make the pro bowl... and then when we find out he hid an injury we bench him??/.. that is bogus.. if he can get the job done, then screw it, let the dude play... anybody could be better than Tahi.. cut him at the end of the season...
Right now is not the time for CHilly to be trying to flex his muscle.. he needs all the muscle he can get.. no pun intended!!!

Not to continually harp.... But people who are still on the fence about Childress, are we seeing a pattern yet?

Exactly, its not like Tapeh didn't have talent and versatility."The" wrote:
+1 all the way."i_bleed_purple" wrote:
I wouldn't call anyone out for that. Tapeh lied about an injury. Well, "withheld information," perhaps is a nicer way to put it. Richardson is up there in years, and Tapeh would have been a good long term option. But we still never should have let a pro-bowl fullback go when he's leading for one of the best running backs in football."The" wrote:
so where are those 'cats' who were saying Tapeh was a better option since he will be a long term solution, and Richardson would be good for one or maybe two years....?Sure am glad we let Tony Richardson go.
I'd love to hear their input on that one.
This is just extremely disappointing though, and i have to believe that there is more to this story.
My questions revolve around:
1. Did we give him a physical?
2. If so, how did our assessment of him not reveal a recent surgery?
3. if this was such a minor scope (the procedure itself) that they could did not notice he had surgery, how is he still not ready to play ball 6 weeks into the season?
FFS there is a college QB that had his knee scoped and he played two weeks later. (Please don't go into the details of knee surgeries.
I have have orthoscopic, recontructive and microfracture).
4. Did Tapeh develop some sort of infection in his knee and that is why he can't participate now? Can he not phyically play currently?
5. or has Tapeh been languishing on the bench out of punishment for not reporting the surgery while they have quietly working out a settlement for him to repay some bonus money before they cut him?
6. if so, i call BS. tahi sucks and Tapeh could have helped this team.
Was there no reconciliation to be had here?
7.
Why have we not benched Tahi and plugged the Sauce yet?
Again, this may be my biggest disappointment of the season.

Re: Tapeh released
When I watched this guy with the Eagles he was a stud, I cannot start to explain what happened here but disapointing none the less. Tahi is nothing specail and our FB situation seems to be in a bit of mess but I'm far more worried about our Offensive Line.
