Tailgating advice

Would really appreciate some tailgating advice in Minneapolis. Planning a bachelor party, 15 guys

Best lot to tailgate?

Best time to arrive at the lot, to ensure a spot?

Things to bring with us?

Do I need to purchase a parking ticket in advance?

Where do i purchase this ticket from? I have only been able to find season tickets for tailgating passes. We're only coming down for one game so this is not an option.

Home opener vs miami. Anything else going on? Parties? Concerts that weekend?

Any advice would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance...

The first (and most important) question to answer is - getting the tailgate parking spot. To my knowledge, you cannot purchase single-game tailgate spots. I'd get on the horn to the Vikings ASAP to ask them if you can buy just for this game.

All of the lots are within easy walking distance to the Dome, so none is "better" than any other, IMHO. We tailgate in Purple Lot #1.

There is that private tailgate lot as well that probably offers single game sales (the one that offered preseason tailgating). I'd try to find out who runs that. You are just as close as any other official tailgate lot and it looks just as much fun.
