I started this thread, but I gotta say Tahi did a pretty good job against the Texans.
Made some key blocks and actually caught a pass that went more than 2 yds.

I just hope he keeps up the good play, because I don't see anyone replacing him.
You know another player who played well against the Texans in the second half? Garrett Mills made a couple of nice catches for big gains. I still don't think I've seen him line up as a fullback for the Vikings, but I hope they try him out in the next preseason game cause Mills is definitely in the hotseat. Considering he has done close to nothing in the three seasons he's been here.

And if he doesn't perform as desired, he should get cut cause the fact is: we have way too many tight ends on the roster.
We can't keep Kleinsasser, Shiancoe, Dugan and Mills if we want to keep an extra QB or WR.
At least one of them has to get cut! (definitely NOT Shiancoe, he's almost our best receiver)
It boggles my mind that Mills has not passed Dugan on the depth chart. I mean come on!

Dugan ... so many missed blocks.
He belongs in a thread with Tahi.

The NFL isn't an easy place to be, but these guys get paid to do a job, and I don't see them doing it well consistently.

I say we just put The "sauce back there.
He has played it before, and we it would allow us to possibly keep a different bubble player

My brother is a huge Bengals fan and says Leonard is not all that good at blocking.
The guy is caught in a spot where he is too big/slow to be a good HB and too small to be a dominant FB.

I think he's still a good halfback. He may not have the elite breakaway speed, but he has good vision, great hands and he runs pretty hard. He should be a halfback in the NFL, not a fullback.

I see some of you are still trying to fit ole Tahi into a mold that he won't fit in.

When will you gets figure out that the role (at least the one your looking for) of the FB as a weapon is dead.
His job is to be a no kneck bowling ball that carries the ball or catches it along the lines of 5 times in the year.

Anyone notice how he took the LB out on AD's long run?
    Probably not.

See he makes one block but whiffs on 5

    That is our issue

And he isn't our primary recieving target but when he does end up being the check down we want him to actually get more then a yard or 2 sometimes

    Whiffs on 5 huh.

Seriously, do you really watch the line play and how he interacts with them based on what the D does?
