Tackle Pat Williams feeling fit and feisty

    http://www.startribune.com/510/story/1185905.html

Nice article. sounds like Pat is already looking forward and getting ready for the season. With teh Williams wall, and can stay healthy good luck running up the middle.

Training camp doesn't start for another 10 weeks, but Vikings Pro Bowl nose tackle Pat Williams already looks like Mr. Mankato.
"I feel great," Williams said. "My weight's down to 327. They want me at 325 before camp starts, so I'm great, I'm good, let's go."

Williams said he was 337 when he reported to training camp last year. Coach Brad Childress, in his first training camp with the Vikings, placed him on the Physically Unable to Perform list until he lost weight.

"I understood why he did it," Williams said. "Last year, everything was new. They came in with different stuff. This year, I'm coming in with everything right."

I love when these type of articles start to come out.

It is still a ways away, but I am getting excited.

Yup, just another one of those disgruntled players the Naysayers keep talking about.

Just in case you didn't understand, I was being sarcastic there

IMHO B-chill handled last years mix up with class.
This article and Streamlined Phat Pats attitude is evidence of it.

"I already talked to Childress, so we're on the same page," Williams said. "I told him, 'You don't have to worry about me. I'll be in camp. I'll be training.' That's the type of guy I am. I'm not the type of guy who is going to cause a mess."
    Strap it on boys.
    Gonna be a great year.

    Character
    / Playmaker

This is exactly what the Vikings need.

"Reporters always ask me, 'Was this the best year for you?' " Williams said. "And I always say, 'No. My best year is going to be next year.' I'll always be better next year."

Good to see Phat Pat is ready for action.
His taint sweat will be worth more this year.

    That is a great quote.
That is the mark of a leader.
Now compare that to Fav-re's antics.
Publicly criticizing the GM, publicly complaining about the lack of talent on the team (that must make teammates feel good), refusing to show up at mandatory training...

    Phat Pat is the greatest.
This type of article gets me pumped up, too bad it's 5 months away until I get to see him eat up RB's.
