That time where we lend a hand to webby and helping cover the costs of the site we call home.

Webby shells out some serious dollars monthly for the site.
80% comes straight out of his own pocket.

You can give any amount you want, it does not matter since every little bit helps webby and the site.
He has spent so much time tweaking this place to make it the best site for Viking fans worldwide.
Plus, he has more exciting stuff ahead for us!

Last time we did this we raised a good chunk of money for the site.

The way I look at it if I'm willing to pay $20 for a 2 hour movie or $100 bucks for a night of drinking I'll never remember I can spend some money on the PP.O which I spend more time on and get more enjoyment out of.

I would be interested in doing something for the site.

I own a custom cabinetry business and rather than just forking over dough, could build something to raffle off or something if we could come up with an idea that doesn't break the bank.

Is there any interest in maybe doing some sort of home theater raffle or something along those lines if we can keep it relatively modest ?

I'm not sure how many people would be up for that sort of thing.
There are a few considerations:

1. Lots of younger people on this site dont have a way to pay for anything online
2. Conducting a raffle would require a lottery license.
We could go ahead and have one anyway, but if we get caught, Webby gets fined with probably more than the raffle would take in.
3. We'd have to start a poll to see how many people here would actually buy tickets.
Although there is over 8000 members, there are less than about 500 who would actually be active enough here to want to support the site with money.

Its a great idea, and a great act on your part to volunteer your services/time/money, but the raffle Idea has been brought up before, and hasn't happened.
