steve loney - what do we know about him?
I was disappointed to see Linehan go, but I'm really uncertain how I feel about Loney. He seems a giant question mark. His profile on vikings.com isn't reassuring either. He doesn't seem to have much NFL coaching experience, but maybe that's a non-issue. Still, I'm pessimistic about his ability to make the offense as productive as it was last year.
What do you folks think?
Can anyone talk me down from my pessimism?

Well, I know he has a hot daughter.
The best part of my day is when I get down on my knees, with my head in my hands, and thank GOD for everything he has given me.

Re: steve loney - what do we know about him?
can someone post a pic of him?
i wasn't real upset when linehan left...
linehan's idea of offense:
"what? we have running backs too?!!?"
"when all else fails, let's do a trick play."
"when I need to run the clock down, let's throw!!! that'll waste time."
"runningbacks: you're in...no you're in, no i mean, you're in... i can't decide."
i am not really disappointed at all.

I agree with all those except the run the clock down by throwing. He did throw in some cases but he really had no choice. It was pathetic to watch him hand the ball off to our backs to run the clock and all we'd do is go 3 and out, which gave the other team a chance to score.can someone post a pic of him?

Re: steve loney - what do we know about him?
He CAN'T be any worse than Linehan OR Billick (when he first started out with the Vikes)...most of you don't remember, but Billick sucked at first...I remember wanting to personally strangle him during his first years as the OC...give Loney a chance before you kick him to the curb.
BANNED OR DEAD...I'LL TAKE EITHER ONE

Now you have to admit, when we ran, we ran! (about 30 times in a row!)
"when all else fails, let's do a trick play."
I thought that reverse pass with Moss was a great call!

You have to admit, Daunte put the ball up in the air for a long time!
Kidding aside, I agree PA. I just hope Loney doesn't have his head placed squarely in his keester!
