Hey mnjamie, don't think for one minute that you know what you're talking about here. I don't care what happened in 2003, the whole team stank... we were 6-10, enough said. However, in 2004 he dominated people, so take a seat and realize that you can't back this statement up. Jerome got six starts last year, oh and by the way they were all 100 yard games. So don't bother posting the stats, I don't want you to make yourself look silly and uninformed. Here's the reality.

Beginning with Jeromes first start in 2004...

    11/07 vs. Philly 149 yards, no TD's

    11/14 vs. Cleveland 103 yards, 2 TD's

    11/21 vs. Cincinnati 129 yards, no TD's

    11/28 vs. Washington 100 yards, 1 TD

Seems to me that's four straight starts, four straight 100 yard games.

Jeromes next start came in Week 14..

12/18 vs. New York Giants 140 yards, 1 TD

    12/26 vs. Baltimore 117 yards, no TD's

Seems to me that's back to back starts with solid production.

One word of advice my friend, think before you speak and you won't sound like an idiot. Have a nice day.

Actually, I think you proved HIS point pretty well. Take a look at ALL of 2004.

    Wk 1 vs Oakland 5 rushes , 1 yd, 3 TD
    Wk 2 he didn't play
Wk 3 vs Mia 7 rushes, 12 yds, 0 TD
    Wk 4 vs Cin 6 rushes, 9 yds , 2 TD
    Wk 5 vs Cle 14 rushes , 34 yds, 1 TD
Wk 6 vs Dal 5 ruses, 8 yds, 1 TD
    Wk 7 Bye
Wk 8 vs NE 15 rushes, 65 yds, 1 TD
    Wk 9 - 12 (see above)
Wk 13 vs Jax, 3 rushes, 17 yds, 0 TD
Wk 14 vs NYJ 10 rushes, 57 yards, 1 TD

    And again this year

    Wk 1 -3 didn't play
Wk 4 vs SD 17 rushes, 54 yds, 1 TD
Wk 5 vs Jax 4 rushes, 4 yds, 0 TD
Wk 6 vs Cin 13 rushes, 56 yds 0 TD
Wk 7 vs Bal 8 rushes, 22 YDS, 0 TD
    Wk 8 Didn't play
Wk 9 vs Cle 9 rushes, 28 yds, 1 TD
    Wk 10 vs BAl 2 rushes, 0 yds , 0 TD
Wk 11 vs Ind 6 rushes, 9 yds, 0 TD
Wk 12 vs Cin 8 rushes, 13 yds, 1 TD
Wk 13 vs Chi 17 rushes, 101 yds, 2 TD

He's great near the goal line, but somebody's gotten him there most of the time. It's been a LONG TIME since he's been the only one expected to carry the load back to back weeks.

Wow... you guys are lost on this one. YOU said he has not put together two good games back to back over the last two seasons, so what about last years numbers???? That's what I thought, he dominated... you were dead wrong and it's ok to admit it.

Now onto this year... I can't believe you're bashing the numbers of a backup. It's incredibly foollish to say he can't put up back to back good games, he hasn't even started a game yet.

So from what I can tell, you realized how wrong you were about last year and are now examining the numbers of a 2nd and sometimes 3rd string running back. You're post was claimed he CAN'T put up these back to back performances anymore, I've clearly proved you wrong.

    Get a clue.

Now for the most recent matchup...

Steelers are a great road team and have not lost to the NFC in almost two years. The dome is your only hope...

Wow, this arguement sounds familiar .... sounds like a Packer Troll arguement with the SuperBowl talk.

Welcome to the 2005 season my friend ... as your counterpart has stated, there is such a thing as "free agency" and teams change vastly from year to year. But comparing a superbowl 1975 (20 years ago at that) is just a mute point that is laughable that you even brought it up.

The last time these times met in MN, in case you are wondering, was 1986 ... oh by the way, the Steelers lost 31-7.
    http://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/pit1986.htm

As for total regular season meetings .. I will let you look that one up yourself, i just don't feel like it to tell you the truth .. but I am interested in knowing it myself.

Actually, if you read this entire thread and the others on the board ... you will realize that "the dome" is not the Vikes only hope, but from this post of yours (your first and only i have to go on) it looks like you really don't have a clue about this upcoming game anyways.

Best of luck to ya though ..... :thumbright:
