play action should be huge and has to be for tavaris to have any success this year.
it's really on childress big time to find a way to utilize these guys to get maximum production on the field and not so much for any individual.
nobody wants to see ap and ct having 10-12 carries each and both finish with like 40 yards.
childress is gonna have to either get them on the field together alot or have a good feel for who has the hot hand on any given day.

It's not just about getting them on the field, its about getting them touches. We ran 442 times last year total. If we split those carries evely between only CT and AD, that is 14 carries per game each. Not enough if you ask me.

RBs caught the ball an average of 6 times per game last year. 3 catches each? That is not enough if you ask me.

Getting these guys to touch the ball 20 times each per game should be a top priority.

I could not agree more, considering we had old man Johnson at the helm who would throw 6-10 yard passes every fuckin throw.
I figured this stat would be much higher but if your right about that stat I couldn't agree with you more.

For the record I actually respect Old Man Johnson and always have but last year was horrid and thats the bottom line.
Lots of factors played into that which I"m aware of but by the half way mark of the season I had a very hard time watching because it just drove me nuts.
I just hope Chilly & Company (aka C&C Football Factory) can get the play calling down better and I think that will help.

(p.s. sorry for rambling it's the bloody marys)

We threw alot last year, I think we should run more this year to give both a chance and give Tjack a break.

that's true V and i think in some games one back will end up getting the amount of touches they need, depending on who has the hot hand.
but you also gotta remember we had a lot of 3 and outs so mutliple oppurtunities for touches were limited since we were getting off the field so quickly.
if seemed like all of taylor's high carry games were like in the first 6 games, then after that we were so ineffective they couldn't stick with the run all the way to the end.
i believe if we have success running the ball, they will have enough touches to go around.
if we struggle everybody's stats are going to suffer.
