He probably saw the writing on the wall (steady decline in his job security) and jumped at the chance to have a real job doing real reporting.

They picked him up as an NFC North analyst, not a Vikings analyst.
He just might say somethings we don't like as well

I'm kind of bummed about this move.
Kevin was one of the few local hacks that I enjoyed reading and listening to.
He wasn't always that insightful, usually everything he talked about on the radio and wrote about in the strib was stuff I had been reading about all day on PP.O...but I enjoyed his calm demeanor and positive takes.
