Easy access to everything, downtown, better facilities, more parking, etc.

Only issue I could see, is with Target Field, the TWolves and the new Vikings stadium being so close together, if games ever happen to be on the same date, that will be chaotic.
I guess that can be worked out in the schedule.. Don't think that would be a problem..

It was a problem once last year, but before that the Vikings and Twins shared a stadium (obviously) and were able to work out scheduling issues. My guess is that they would do the same.

That being said, I think it would be damn cool to have a Vikings game at noon followed by a Twins game at 7:00... I would never have to move the truck.

I hope they fix up the surrounding area though, when I went to a Twins game, that part of town is pretty sketchy down near the river. Had to park in some lot where you drove down this narrow little driveway to a fenced off area near the river behind buildings. Would not have been surprised if I got jumped down there.

Easy access? Not unless they changed a lot of things since it was Rapid Park. Expressways were close by, but it was still a bottle neck getting to them from Rapid Park after a Vikings game.

With that said, only a small portion of fans parked there. What is it like now after a Twins game?

With approx. 30,000 attending a Twins game, what would it be like with twice that many?

Where do they all tailgate? Obviously not the ramp.

LOL! Perhaps they reverse the process. Build the stadium next to Target field, then tear down the Metrodome, make that the new Rapid Park & bus tailgaters to the new stadium from there (and the other current tailgate lots) or let them take the tram.

    Brilliant!

Re: Stadium updates - including next to Twin's stadium

Sid Hartman's article of June 4, 1999 sums it up in a few words, "Former Vikings official Mike Lynn also has a claim in connection with the income he will receive from the Metrodome's executive suites -- about 10 percent -- until the Vikings' lease with the Dome expires in 2011
So is mike lynn going to run out of money after this year?
Why must you defend everything this FO does....to the point of making your self look like a yes man.

If he makes stock trades like he makes football trades, his only income is those suites.
