Re: Stadium help
How about a date with a cheerleader to raise some funds?

I'd be willing to buy a brick! Even if it was up to $250 + 60,000 fans = 15 Million ( great idea WhiteViking!)"whiteviking24" wrote:

I hear you man,What can we do as Minnesota Vikings fans do to help get this stadium. I for one live in Blaine within running distance to the proposed stadium. I am all for it. This is a city that has a lot of potential and if the stadium gets passed then its only going to benefit us in the long run. For those who are against I understand completely, but think long term. Think about the revenue it will bring.
Can we start a petition?
Donate money? Hell, Wilf will give a lot....I got five on it!
Seriously though...this is our team...lets make some noise for it.
I was thinking about that today.
They could set up some kinda donation thing were fans can "buy a brick" thing to help afford the new stadium were you get a certificate for donation or something and every "brick" would cost like $200 or something....
don't know how many poeple would be willing to do that however?
If 60,000 fans would do that it would add up to $12 million.
Not a bad idea, they could call it the PPTV.....
" Purple Pride Path to Victory"
I'de get a brick if it happened......Maybe Wilf will see your  post....
I'm with Coreyd ...we as fans should be able to do something?

Re: Stadium help
One would think there would be players willing to donate their time in fund raiser events that would bring the fans in & help the cause.

Re: Stadium help
Well lets do something.....I am sick of hearing about this issue. It needs to be passed so we can move forward. The team deserves it. The owner has proven that he wants a trophy. Lets help the s.o.b. out a little and get this thing passed.

Yes, I live in Wisconsin. About 30 miles north of La Crosse & right across the river from Winina, MN.Singers, you are in Wisconsin? Here I thought you were in Minnesota.. Anyways, yes I would be in favor of something that would voice our opinion as Vikings fans..
By the way, how far is Blaine from the HHH Dome? Just wondering, because I usually come to Minnesota for some Vikes games, and would like to know how much farther it is.. If it gets done that is..
As far as how far Blaine is from the Thunder Dome. I'm not sure.
It really doesn't matter to me. I'm going to be their at least 10 times a year regardless.
Is LaCrosse by Rhinelander? I believe I know where that is..

LaCrosse is almost directly straight across the state from Oskosh or Sheybogan. Right on the MN/WI border.

Re: Stadium help
I sent a letter to my state Rep, Senator, and the Gov on Friday telling them of my support for the 3 stadium proposals and I urge the rest of the Minnesotans on this page to do the same. So far I have heard back from one of them so far
From Rep. Patti Fritz (MN House),
Thank you for sending along your thoughts on the stadiums issue.
I am a co-author on the Mn. Twins bill. The U of M's proposal is solid
and I think it will pass the House. The Vikings issue is another story.
As a blue collar worker I can see the jobs that the stadiums will give
our workers, and I am also concerned about the Twins leaving the state.
I am not so sure of the Viking proposal, but will keep an open mind.
Again, Thanks for the email
Best Regards
Patti
I wish that she would have stated her concerns but I appreciated her response."Hard work beats talent, when talent doesn t work hard."

Cool! Way to be proactive.
Write her again and tell her you are a Yankee Fan and you could care less about the Twins and see how she responds. JK, LOL
