I guess it all depends on where they are.
I'll sell you one for cheap in the middle of a clearcut in Mississippi.

The Twins & Hennepin County just paid an assload for one wedged between two bridges, next to an incinerator.

    Vikings acquire land

The Vikings this week made their first acquisition of land in downtown Minneapolis, which they hope will be the site of a stadium/business project. They purchased three parking lots from Central Parking System.

Lester Bagley, speaking for the Vikings, said the team hopes this will be the first of several acquisitions to show they are serious about the east Minneapolis business project.
Looks like Wilf is trying to keep his promise to the fans.

I don't need it, I live in one of the world's biggest parking lots.

It also means we lost 4 tailgate lots this year. Those 3, if he chooses them not to remain open for parking until further development, plus the loss of Rapid Park.

If Wilf doesn't buy the parking lots and other land, the team will move out and there will be no reason to "tailgate" then at all!

There is plenty of land in the TC area. It's not set in stone that it has to be built in downtown Minneapolis.

I think it is set in stone if you want the backing of the Metropoliton Sports Commission which is needed.
