Re: Sporting News Says 6-10
I hate to admit it, but I do think the Bears will win the division.
But I'm positive that we will have a better record than the Packers and I think the Lions will once again be the worst team in the NFC North.
The Vikings have made a lot of changes and usually head coaches don't do that well in their first year. And that's why I only see us winning 7 or 8 games, but hopefully I'm wrong. :grin:In the P.J.'s, my blend tape plays, bullets are strays

We've got a lot to digest learning new systems and coaching philosifies, and hopefully, imo, we gotta be better than the packers and detroit, the bears will be tough on d again. That all we can do is wait for the season to teeee off. Skol Vikes

 Dumped Russell?Well it sounds like it was a good thing we dumped Russell when we did. As for the 6-10 prediction it's hard to say. As much as I love the Vikings and wish upon them no losing record EVER, I just don't know how the new look Vikings will do this season. There is so many new faces from the personal to the players. I won't be shocked to see it take a few(3) years to get this thing rolling but I pray it happens right away.
If memory serves, he was a FA & signed elsewhere.
There was no dumping going.

 Did they pick Pittsburgh to go 14-2 & repeat before or after Big Bens accident.
It seems like quite a stretch considering the extent of the accident.

Re: Sporting News Says 6-10
I see 5-11 this year. So far, Childress has the makings of Les Steckel. Even Detroit, especially with Martz and the WR weapons, all look better on paper. Our defense looks to be good, but our LBs are still the weakness. Greenway looks promising, but he is a rookie and we didn't make any other upgrades at those positions. LB play in the Cover2 is essential. If BJ goes down we are done. Our passing game will become predictable because roll-outs & bootlegs are not part of the playbook. In addition. BJ's arm strength resembles Kramer's toward the end. Not to mention a lackluster WR corp, which really lacks a true #1 (KR is a good #2 and Williams is unproven, Taylor & MR are good #3s).

whats the extent of the accident? his knees have no structural damage and his face is a little cut up with a broken nose and jaw, but those will heal before the season starts. i still dont think he will win the super bowl this year, but i dont think the accident will have anything to do with it. Did they pick Pittsburgh to go 14-2 & repeat before or after Big Bens accident.

Re: Sporting News Says 6-10
I really don't see us getting less than 9 wins this year when I look at the games we have to play.....
I think our D will keep us in every game we play this year, and as Brad has proven and what he is known for.....Not a mistake maker and taking what is there, hopefully our new O can put some convincing wins on the board and not get in a position of catch -up ball.....
I really think we can go 10-6 or 11-5........We split with the Bears on our head to head games......
I LOVE THE SMELL OF VICTORY IN THE MORNING AIR.
