Re: Sporting News article on Travis Taylor

Some people wern't as exited as me when we signed this guy as a free agent, hes one of those dudes that just needs the chance to shine, needs a QB and his carear will take off. I'm really not worried about our WR group, they'll do great.

I see Taylor being the #2 guy behind Nate. I want to see Troy way up there on the depth chart too but he's way too raw. He also has a complex offense to learn compared to his job at Sth Carolina where all he did was go deep while they ran the damn ball 40+ times a game.

I see Robinson/Campbell fighting for #3 while Troy would be used to stretch the field. Troy will need time to develop. Speed is not everything, otherwise Joey Galloway etc would be perennial probowlers.

I think he is going to surprise a few people with his production in this offense and with a good QB. Besides I have to root for him he is a former Gator. LOL

Re: Sporting News article on Travis Taylor

He may well turn out to be one of the biggest surprises of the season and show exactly what he can do with pro-bowl QB throwing to him.
The media onus has all been on Burleson stepping up and Williamson being Moss's replacement - though most Vikes fans know that to not be the case. I think that he help provide what we have missed since Cris Carter left - a genuine tandem of two good #1 & #2 WRs. This is going to make harder for defences to lock down one WR knowing that the #2 is not so much of a threat.

Just another piece of proof that the Vikes Recieving corps can be good without Moss. Go get em Taylor!

I agree w/ everyone on this one...Travis Taylor no doubt has always had the ability, but lost his way in Baltimore. A fresh start can always work wonders, especially at a team armed w/ a dynamic quarterback, a series of young, talented receivers & a great offensive system! This could finally be the year Trav Taylor shows his potential & i know i speak for everyone in saying..."Bring it on!"

Travis Taylor will be awesome in the slot, possibly could move up to number 2 in my eyes if Williamson has some rookie woes... Taylor was a first round pick because he has talent, now he has a somewhere where can utilize it.

I'll hold my opinion on Taylor until he actually puts on some pads and is in danger of being decapitated.
