I alsio think Norv could make him look at least decent. Look what he did last year in Cle with Hoyer, Campbell, Weeden
With him on the team that still leaves only one quarterback on the roster.
I bet you could use a cool one huh Clark...Now you're talkin Eddie...

He definitely looked better than Gabbert who stole a sixth rounder ... so I think a fourth or fifth rounder is definitely possible, but a third rounder (especially in this draft) would be a fleecing.
I think Zimmer wants to see what is there with Ponder. Is he really as bad as he looked, or was it the fact that his coaching dropped off for the last year or 2? We aren't privy to the politics in the locker/coaching room, but Ponder looked like he was coming into his own at the end of 2012. He wasn't going to be elite, but he was looking solid... WTF happened?

IF "what happened" can be corrected, and Zimmer/Turner sees how, he is worth keeping for anything less than a 3rd round pick. It's the only reason I can see as to why they are not willing to offer him up right now. Call it a gut feeling, but I just wouldn't do it... ok, maybe a high 4th round pick would sway me.

lol. Maybe its good it isn't up to me.

With no 4th round pick now, I've become a believer!! Let's go get a trade done with an idiot... err, a rookie green GM... err, a person who sees VALUE (yeah! a value pick!!) and get a 4th or even another 5th round pick for Ponder now that we have Bridgewater.

    Please?

I would think that if a fourth or fifth round pick comes along that we HAVE to take it. Unloading his first round contract would be nice as well. I don't know if that comes along. But if somebody wants a backup QB and think that Ponder can fit the bill ... then maybe we can move him.
