I am pretty sure they already took a second day quarterback with the 12th pick just a couple of years ago.

It looks like they learned their lesson. Let's hope he doesn't mean a second day QB with the 8th pick.

I would not mind Bridgewater, Manziel or Bortles, but if they are not there I do not see enough value in Carr at the No. 8 spot. And we have plenty of other needs.

I have a feeling he is going to trade back from the 8th spot

He would be a fool if he does and there is a player like Mack or Watkins. Even Greg Robinson would be hard not to draft, he is going to be a pro bowler IMO. How can you pass up that kind of talent. Outside of those three or a QB, I would say move down and get a player like Barr, Mosley, Gilbert or Dennard.

Big time talent means big time trade package. Everyone has a price. If Watkins or Mack are there, that's when the big offers will come. You have to at least listen. If it doesn't shake out the way we want, there's no guarantee anyone will want #8 bad enough to make a decent offer worth taking. Like what happened with Ponder...Spielman wanted to trade out but nobody wanted the pick that bad, so he made the pick.

We've seem Spielman trade up (last year) when the situation called for it; let's see if he has the ability and the knowledge to trade back.

Barring a great QB at #8, it is probably a better move to get more picks this year.
