special teams ...off season concerns
ok, I'm over the loss now...[Beer] but I do say they should go into the season with a battle cry of "Remember Arizona!" Since its the off season I going to come in here and post a position we may need to address. If you will just reply on that position and no other. Special Teams: man this hurt us this year again, although a little better than last year, it could improve a lot.
Look what special teams can do in a game. If we have a good kicker that can actually kick a 55 yarder 90% of the time, this means points on the board, shorten those O drives some. So I think we need a kicker for this in the off season.
kick coverage and returns: Must improve in this department. We must stop the other team for getting to the freaking 35 everytime. This will help our D and make the other teams have long drives. Oh and can we please get better returns on kickoffs and punts! The kickoffs were sometimes very good, but the punt returns, we need better blocking to help our guy out. Better returns means shorter field to make drives and then score. So should we get some good special teams players in free agency? or continue to use the guys we have and also the new
drafties??
Who ever we get, kicker, special team players, coach, this department must improve if we are to get to the playoffs next year. This is too important to ignore, and I think Tice knows this, and hope he fixes the problem, He knows this is make or brake for him..
