Thread: Special Teams???

How many years do the special teams have to suck before it can be determined that the special teams coach is not doing his job well? Each year there are new people playing special teams and each year we are just as bad. We don't need a return man because we will get a penalty every return. I think Rusty has to go. What do you guys think?

I believe this is Rusty's make or break year... We have alot more talent on this team than in years past, so some good players will have to make the team on Special Teams, which should make them better.

I think Rusty needs to go, but I will say this.....the coverage seemed ok on Friday it was just a lot of penalties that hurt.


I do agree the guy is coaching on borrowed time.

Rusty's tenure has been mediocre at best. It seems that every year, our ST give up a few big plays -- and give up far more than they make.

I hope Wilf springs for upgrading the coaching staff next year.

I'm not a big fan of this Keenan Howry character at all. His lacks both in speed and ability to make defenders miss. How he has been on the team for 3 years now puzzles me.
