I voted for Kevin Williams also, I also found Washingtons kind of akward being Clinton Portis when everyone saw how well Ladell Bett's stepped up last year.

    Thanks PPE for the Sig

I have to go with Winfield here.
With how horrendous our pass defense was last year, I can't imagine losing a proven vet.
Hopefully Winfield will also pass along valuable knowledge to the young guys.

    Cards - Leinart
    Falcons - DeAngelo Hall (Vick
    :is boring me)
    Panthers - Peppers
    Bears - Urlacher
    Cowboys - Ware
Lions - Roy Williams (for now, soon to be CJ)
Packers - Hawk (Favre's time is past, I hope)
    Vikes - Kevin Williams
Saints - Bush (although tough not to pick Brees)
Giants - Eli (least clear of them all)
Eagles - Dawkins (you could easily argue Westbrook, however, Dawkins is the team leader)
    49ers - Gore
    Seabags - Walter Jones
    Rams - Steven Jackson
    Bucs - Brooks
    Redskins - Moss

Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent

McKinnie is in a critical position, but I'm still waiting for him to become a consistant high level player.
Windfield can tackle, but he's not a shutdown corner.
Hutch is a great guard, but I'm not sure he's as indespensible as the Williams brothers.
I've gave it to Kevin by a hair!

    Definitely.
I think as indispensable you have to go with somebody where there is limited depth behind them.
So thats most everybody on the list.

I would have to say Kevin Williams or Pat Williams as there is only Spencer Johnson and Howard Green Behind them.
Probably Kevin Williams because of his ability to get some pressure on QB which we desperately need.

Re: Something to do - vote for the most “indispensable” Vikings player

We have a tought situation in our poll. Each player in there is so vital to our success in the upcoming season.

With no McKinnie the left side of our offensive line is left extremely vulnerable even with Hutchinson at guard.

With no Winfield we end up starting a 2nd year player and a rookie at the two corner spots.. this coming after a year where we finished last in the NFL in pass D.. not good. Not to mention he's a great open field tackler and our run defense would lose a step as well.

With no Kevin Williams our pass rush and run defense would get significantly worse.

Pat williams anchors our run defense opening up plays for other guys.

No hutch would leave a huge gap in talent between our center and our left tackle. I definitely think both Birk and McKinnie benifit from having the best guard in the game playing next to them.

so yeah.. all of those players are extremely important to our success next season. I voted for Kevin Williams though. He really stepped up last year after a down season and has improved his run defense playing next to Pat.

I am going to vote for Matt Birk.
We have all witnessed how much smoother our offense runs when he is in the lineup and at 100%.
He is responsible for calling the blocking assignments for the line.
He was playing great center long before we got Hutch.

Can't believe HUTCH is leading like that.
