Some Early Honors But Not For Peterson
http://vikingsnow.blogspot.com/2007/12/some-early-honors_31.html
Peter King of Sports Illustrated named DT Pat Williams and LB E.J. Henderson to his All-Pro teams.
But King did not give one of his two spots at running back to rookie Adrian Peterson (they went to LaDainian Tomlinson and Brian Westbrook). More surprisingly, though, King named Cleveland Browns OT Joe Thomas offensive rookie of the year.
This is how he justified that decision: "No disrespect to Adrian Peterson, but for 16 games, Thomas was more impactful on the Browns than Peterson was on Minnesota."Kentucky Vikes Fan

When you require nothing, you get nothing; when you expect nothing, you will find nothing; when you embrace nothing, all you will have is nothing.

What!?...That is some bullcrap! If Peterson gets jewed of the ROY because of his last 4 games that is a joke.

Re: Some Early Honors But Not For Peterson
I think it's a toss up for rookie of the year between 3 people
Adrian Peterson- Second in the league in rushing yards and 10 TD's
Patrick Willis- 174 tackles and 3 sacks.. Lead the league
Joe Thomas- Was a GREAT blocker for a much improved Browns team.. They needed line help
I would not be all that surprised if AP didn't get it.. He did only have about 100 yards in the last 4 games of the year

How would an offensive lineman win the ROY over one of the most exciting players in the game?

Oh yah there is Offensive and Defensive I forgot haha
Mmmm.. I would go with A.D for sure
But there could be argument for Joe.. He did play all games.. He did improve that team a whole lot
But it should really be A.D

And he did improve that line HARDCORE
And did play all 16 games
I do believe A.D will win it.. But Joe needs to strongly be considered

I think Thomas deserves it more than Peterson.
He was consistent throughout the whole season and Left Tackle is not an easy position for a rookie...
But Peterson will win it because RB is a glam position and the NFL will make more money by promoting him.

You see apparently instead of just saying I hope he doesn't get cheated he had to use a term about the history of Jewish people as shrewd business people who would "cheat" you out of your money.
Very classy.
