To bad they still don't keep it updated fast enough.

Bollinger is still #2 on the depth chart

Udeze's still the starter at LE

Robison is listed as starting at RE

Farwell is listed as #2 at WL

AD is listed as #2 at RB
Probably since every team does that. They don't want to give anything away at this point of year.

Even if it doesn't mean shit
It is not like its a secret.

Re: So when is the new vikings.com coming?

Initial look is good but seems slow in loading pages, too many hits and it could end up slowing to a crawl

I'm pretty sure it's been common knowledge since last year that AD is our starting RB. It is also common knowledge that Udeze won't be playing, the starting end will be Edwards, not Robison & that Farwell is not the #2 this year since he is lost for the season.

These are not the only updates that Vikings.com doesn't update in a timely fashion, the most recent news that appeared throughout half of the 2006 football season was that the Vikings hired Childress.

There have been more, I just cited a few examples that I found.

It looks like the content is the same, the major change was just to the UI.
So things such as depth chart are going to be the same as before the upgrade.
If last season is an indicator, it will be updated at the beginning of the season.
I hit vikings.com pretty frequently last year, and I didn't notice any stale news.
    2006 might have been different.

Overall I think it is a positive change.
The navigation is better, and the hero spots are more prominent.
I would have like to see an RSS feed incorporated though.
And more on page video, not the external linking to real player files.
    I give it a C+
(over the D+ the last vikings.com had).

I really miss that inflating football they used to have. I would refresh the page for hours on end just to watch it.

I always wonder why some NFL sites have links that let you read it in Spanish or German, but we never do. Look at the Oakland site sometime. Not that we need it, but I am just wondering.

Oakland has a much more diverse population than the Twin Cities... MUCH more diverse.

It is all over the news if they want to find it... I don't think they will need to come to vikings.com to find it.
