I thought defensive players can't wear single digit numbers. At least, thats what I heard
I know that certain players are not supposed to be able to wear certain numbers, but I don't think it is an overriding rule (i.e. Keyshawn wering 19 while all other recievers are in the 80s ... until Randy now) I think that there are wys to make exceptions, just not sure what they are.

I dont think anyone will really wear #1. I mean we always use the same #1 jersey at the draft. Just look at some of our draft picks over the years, like culpepper. When we first drafted him, he had a #1 jersey in his hand and later switched to #11. The #1 is only for the draft i believe.

Hey Hawaiian, Remember Warren Moon? I even think Jan Stennerud (sp?) wore it. Its actually quite common for kickers.

Cambell is 16 and a few of the newer WRs are getting similar numbers.

Irvin isn't going to be released unless we draft some CB/S help in the draft. I think it's gonna be #25.

Players with #1 as their jersey number:
    Matt McBrair, Punter, Cowboys
    Matt Turk, Punter, Dolphins
    Jason Elam, Kicker, Broncos
    Lawrence Tynes, Kicker, Kansas City
    Neil Rackers, Kicker, Arizona

A lot of low numbered WR's. The lowest:
    Edell Shepard, WR, Bucs #3

There were not any Defensive players with single digits for jersey #'s

I might be wrong on this but I don't think I am....

Single digits are during the season for QB, K and P
A WR can wear 80 - 89 + 10 - 19 during the regular season. It used to be that they wore 10 - 19 only if all in the 80's were taking but that changed before this season....right?

I don't really care what number he wears so long as our wins go up and are defensive rank goes down, espically the passing defense

Me too! I hope that WR's are asking, "did you see the mumber of the guy who just laid me out?" :drunken:
