Re: Smoot 'hated' his time in Minnesota
can you think of a lamer excuse than that.
i was unhappy so i played poorly.
so when steve smith and chad johnson were making him like like a pee wee football player its cuz he was depressed cuz he didn't like the people in minnesota.
maybe it was more like getting smoked for 50 yard tds and inevitably getting benched 2 years in a row that made him depressed.
if he's so happy now why is he in the same position on the depth chart in washington that he was with us.
i also loved how he claims he asked to be let go, like he wasn't going to be an eventual cut anyway.
like the vikes were begging and pleading with him to stay but they set him free so he could be happy.
what a prick.LET THAT WHICH DOES NOT MATTER, TRULY SLIDE

The guy is demonstrating a complete lack of class.
I mean, you come in as a free agent, sign a big contract, don' t play particularly well, and then get in trouble off the field.
What, that's supposed to be a good time?
But if the guy has emotional issues, then the guy has issues.
Let's give him a break.
I'm still of the opinion that what he did on the field was play a game, and the worst things he did here were off the field.
And I'm still not sure how 'bad' those really were (in the sense that we don't know what he did, what was consentual, etc.).
I hope he turns around in Washington, plays well, feels better, lives cleaner, and thinks clearer.
Just as long as they don't beat the Vikes. When the age of the Vikings came to a close, they must have sensed it. Probably, they gathered together one evening, slapped each other on the back and said, "Hey, good job." - Jack Handey [Deep Thoughts]
