i dun know why everyone is giving up on him. He had injuries the whole season. I know hes a good player and i think letting him go or trading him would be stupid

He did p#ss me off this year with his mouth, but I agree. New guy in a new defense, injuries etc. Give him a chance. Hate to see another CB develop and leave like BWill though.

People stated when he signed that he is injury prone.

It hasn't just been this year.

I think people are tired of him not backing up all of his talk. He seemed to run his mouth a lot this year with little or no results. Couple that with the boat party incident and the guy was definately the black sheep of the team this year.

I agree that we shouldn't give up on him. I still think he's a very good corner and that he'll have a much better season this year (if he stays healthy that is).

By saying "he is good" does not help your argument here.

I think he was distracted by the boat scandal as much as the injuries. The only thing he could show something positive was on the field. But that bastard Cottrell broke his spirit by having him cover Steve Smith the whole game without help. Smoot was ridiculed mercilessly after that game and that broke his confidence.

I am so glad that Cottrell is not with us anymore.

Smoot will come around next year. Especially with a DB coach taking over our DC position.

I like the way Smoot talks up the games. He ticks off the opposing players and that can effect their came. Cottrell was a moron and didn't give him the help over the top he needed to play Steve Smith correctly.

I look forward to watching him play next year.
