Similarities between Tommy Kramer & KRob

The poison pill and not the clause in Hutch's contract.
Its really sad to see KRob fall apart, kinda reminds me of Tommy Kramer, another comeback player of the year and former Viking great. But lets not forget football is just a game and the pressures of the NFL, well I dont think any of us on the boad can quite understand.
Some of us may understand the evils of alcohol and if you can lets hope the best for Koren, he is human afterall.

I remember in college at New Mexico State, some frinds and I used to drive by a well known halfway house and yell out at the recovering addicts, "want a beer", only to find myself there a few years later.......but I guess I can relate and hope those on this board do not sympathize, but just understand......for Koren's sake.

    Thanks.

What does Hutch's contract have to do with this?
I'm sorry for the alcohol related problems you deal with but are you sure you aren't drunk now?

I think what he means by the "poison pill and not the clause in hutch's contract".... he is referring to alcohal as being the poison pill instead of the poison pill being the clause in hutch's contract.
I could be wrong, but it makes sense to me...

    ahh, a metaphor.
Getting deep on the weekends at ppo.
I still stand by my previous post that we could do without supporting criminals who were given multiple chances and rewarded with millions of bucks

    my mistake.
    He said understand, not sympathise.
In this case, I don't see much of a difference.
The only difference is that in understanding, we should hope that he overcomes his troubles.
    I think most here do.
That doesn't mean we should support him coming back to the Vikings.
    He burned those bridges.
The only understanding I have in this situation is that he was given a golden opportunity to turn his life around and he was too stupid and selfish to make the best of it.
    Thats how I understand it.

Yeah. I hope that he can get some serious help. Put football on the back burner for now, and focus on trying to get his health and life back in order. My heart goes out to him and his family, no matter how many chances he has been given. The due needs to get some help; ASAP!!

How dare you compare 2beersTommy to Krob!!
:P some similatity, they both enjoyed beer. I do remember Tommy stealing money from the Viking Report (probably to support his drinking habit) & ran it into the ground, can KROB say that ? lol

Sure, Tommy is known for his drinking and had a few scrapes with the law (drinking and driving for example...as did quite a few other Vikings of the past...never mind all of the other various arrests of Viking players over the years), but Koren's arrest record in Washington, North Carolina and Minnesota reads like a novel. Koren betrayed Viking fans and the Viking organization through his actions, and honestly, I have no pity for Koren what so ever. I hope they throw the book at him. Hopefully his cell mate in prison will help wipe off that smug little smirk I saw on his face as he walked out of that courthouse in Minnesota. He's gonna need to reach true rock bottom before he can really clean up his act. The guy's got some major problems. Thank god we had clauses written into his contract in the event he pulled some shit like this. Adios Koren. Don't let the big purple door hit you in the ass on the way out.
    Even babies know the difference.
