To be a special group they have to have big play capabilities.
I am not sure if Rice has that type of ability or not, but I have not seen it from the others.
I certainly hope they do.
I think we should just keep pounding the rock until we wear them down.

Not sure what you equate as a "Big Play" .....

For this discussion, I in no way envision "Moss Deep" kindof stuff but rather am looking for consistency in executing the game plan.


Big plays, at least for this year, will be that our WR's demonstrate that they can get off the line quickly, run precise routes, with the correct timing, and most importantly, catch the ball when it gets near them or hits them in the hands.


I will take the deep ball and YAC as it comes along.

i've seen a few profiles on him since we drafted the kid.

he seems to have the right mentality now, i hope it lasts, who knows maybe we
got a group talented enough to feed of CT/AP and get us some quick shots here and there go for the long 6.

i think we have big play capability i mean T-will can catch the ball when he doesnt have to think (see the Carolina game left handed snatch that was behind him) big plays to me can be those 5 yard slants that gets you YAC, or first downs, no so much the 50 yard bomb for a TD... i would much rather have consistency over a crap shoot with a bomb (see favre, grossman)

YAC can definately equate to big plays.
I think AD will account for some big plays this year.
I think big plays can be defined two different ways.
The first is simply yards gained.
I think any play that gains more than 25 yards is a big play.
But the circumstances can also determine a big play.
What if it is 3rd and 11 in the 4th quarter of a tie game.
A first down would definatley count as a big play in that situation.
