He's traded in garnet for purple and No. 4 for 18. The defenders are bigger and, especially, faster than ever before.
Touchdowns will soon equate to dollars as well as points.
Sidney Rice has officially arrived in the NFL.
Re: Sidney Rice - Ex-USC star now eager NFL rookie
Rice may not have a Rookie campain like a certain #84 did, but I'm betting he's gonna be very productive. He's no sleeper that's for sure. I think we'll be wr's by comittee in the pre-season until their play starts to seperate themselves, but we may have a gem or two waiting to shine.
Re: Sidney Rice - Ex-USC star now eager NFL rookie
Indeed its gonna be the main reason we may have a balanced attack, we can pound that rock But I wann see if they can get in some 15 yard strikes to wide recievers I have feeling some wil stand out like Rice especially.
Re: Sidney Rice - Ex-USC star now eager NFL rookie
For us to have a good passing attack Williamson and Wade have to step it up.
And Allison contributing would really help as well.
Rice is the least of my concerns.
Re: Sidney Rice - Ex-USC star now eager NFL rookie
I have really high hopes for this kid.
I really hope he has the skills to develop into our #1 someday.
I could get used to watching Jackson throw to Rice for TDs all day long.
Re: Sidney Rice - Ex-USC star now eager NFL rookie
i too have high hopes for this kid. I liked him a lot. I wanted Craig Davis but this guy I thought would be better possibly. I want to see him as the next Steve Smith by his break out 3rd year. I like to see him at that level by his 4th or 5th year. Aundrae Allison was also my late round gem so I like our receiver drafting corp.
Re: Sidney Rice - Ex-USC star now eager NFL rookie
Well can't fault his attitude and if he takes that to TC then he will be moving up the depth chart. I can't wait for the preseason games to see what our WRs can actually do - least then we'll have an idea as to what sort of a season is coming up.
Re: Sidney Rice - Ex-USC star now eager NFL rookie
As I have said before, I think this is a special group.
Is it as good or will it make us forget the Moss, Carter, Reed days?......probably not, but I think alot of us will be pleasantly suprised with our passing attack this year.
;D

Agreed.
Before the draft I was really worried about our receiver situation.
Now I'm more concerned that TJack will stay composed out there and control the football.

Alot of factors will change this year starting with..........
The D will get the ball back more times......
The D might even get pressure on the opposing QB's and score a few times........
Our Offense will be on the field alot.........
The line will block better giving him and the WR more time........
The Running game will be a huge threat as it was last year........
We have a new crop of WR's vice the crap we had last year........
That crop of WR's have a WR coach coaching them this year (at least it appears that way)....
With all that said, I envision T-will, Wade and Sidney as our primary targets with Shank and our RB's finding the wholes vacated by our WR's it will be a very effective passing attack.
Superbowls have been won by teams with less offense than what we will be fielding this year.........
;D
Again, they might not make the Moss, Carter, Reed memories go away but this offense (when it clicks) will be fun to watch.
;D
