Former Gopher Marcus Sherels making his mark on special teams for Vikings

Marcus Sherels did not waste any time redeeming himself Sunday after foolishly fair-catching a punt inside his 5-yard line against the Detroit Lions.

Always great when a local guy makes the team, love it, he has been doing pretty good too - would like to see him a bit on defense, he is a playmaker..

Yep have to say I was impressed with him last week. Good attitude and looks to have been a good player to have on the roster.

We need guys out there giving it everything they have and he is one of them. It has been a very long time since our return teams looked as good as they do this year.

The refs even like him. He even got away with a blatant facemask on Donahue last week & the refs flagged the punter instead when he returned the favor.
