    I don't know the facts so im staying out of it

    The spots sometimes don't have a sign.. Just paint.. It could have been covered up

    Maybe there were like 6 ppl at the station and PLENTY of spots.. In that case I don't mind if no one will have use for it. I know you aren't supposed to but I would understand

    The facts are, there was a sign;

    And he admitted he knew it;

    Sharper even openly admitted he had parked in the handicapped spot.

    Before I noticed where the SUV was parked, Sharper made a joke to my video camera about having to "get my flexibility back" and said, "See how I'm walking?"

    He never admitted it.
    I watched the entire video and the girl columnist didn't even know about the handicap spot when talking with Sharper.
    Sharper was limping around and didn't say anything about being in a handicap spot...

    You know I've seen so many people in those spots with the little handicap card in thier vehicle that get around just as good as you and I that I just don't care too much. Was it wrong? Yeah. But it's hard to get worked up about it.

    My son is handicapped. Being he is 2.5, i drive him around, and we have a placard. I do admit, i've used it when he wasn't in the van, and that's wrong. I get looks even when he IS in the van. Besides that, someone can be mentally handicapped, not just physically. Also, there are temporary ones, that are red, in minnesota.

    Where i work i get to use a handicap placard when i take the guys around places, and it stays in my truck... trust me it is very tempting to use it when they aren't in the car, but hey i need the exercise.

    I thought you can't get them for mental handicaps?

    I always thought it was for severe circulatory and respiratory diseases(my grandfather had throat and lung cancer that and a laryngectomy because of it, which obviously affected his breathing) serious vision problems(IMO you shouldn't be allowed to drive yourself around if you need to park closer to someplace because you can't see where you're going,) and physical problems with the lower extremities.

    But you obviously know more about this than I do.

    And after seeing those pictures, there's no defending Sharper. Before I was just grasping at straws trying to defend him. He's clearly wrong, but it's no outrage... I'm sure hundreds of people got away with doing far worse things while he was parked in that spot.
