I've definitely shut the hell up about it... but at the time, he was playing like crap.

Oh yah, he was bugging me too

I guess I usually roll with the "give them time" crowd

I got upset about Shaincoe's playing when Jackson got benched... I blamed it on him pretty much.

If he had caught that TD (against the Colts I think?), I don't think Jackson would have been benched.

I think things have worked out nicely though... him and Jackson both were great today.
    Disclaimer: I'm an idiot.

    No doubt

At that point I was calling for more Garrett Mills in the games

Shianco was god awful both at the end of last season and the early part of this one. However he has turned it around and become a solid player - certainly looks like he and TJ and on the same page and they made some good plays yesterday.
Credit to the guy for sticking at things and proving some of us wrong about him.

Exactly how I feel about the entire situation.

When we brought him in, yes I thought we payed a bit much for him, but that seems to be needed these days in the Free Agency, I mean shit look at Oaklands spending

Last season I defended him - constantly said give him time to learn the new system and all those standard responses, but I got very upset with his slow start to the season - all of our guys were dropping way too many balls.
I blamed primarily Shiancoe for Jackson's benching, but Wade, Berrian, and even the RBs were dropping catchable balls.

Hell.. last year at the Chargers game (AD's 296 game), I got 4 rows of people chanting "Give the Ball to Shiancoe!" just to mock him after a drop haha.
I always thought he would emerge into a decent receiving tightend, but didn't think he would do this well - very pleasantly surprised

yeah he's finally doing what great TEs do be the safety net for the QB
    especially when they blitz.
and pulling down that one pass in between those two defenders was sweet.

Shiancoe had a great game but why does he slide down before contact? He is a TE and should deliver a blow not hook slide like a QB.

Remember earlier in the season when we used to put all the blame on the Shank? Well , hes been playing some great football over the last couple of weeks,
    even good ball b4
that. 136 yds and 2 tds today tells me he is bringing it hard
and making himself a force. The way we used to put Shank down, lets put some of that blame on sIDNEY RICE. how are u a starting wr and not having any catches?Aint like he was going up against champ bailey and basically he is playing one on one with his man and he cant beat him. Until further notice, Rice is a bum. I put him and Cook in the same class. And by the way, Rice needs to catch some balls b4 we get to the red zone, he seems only to want it then for those jumpballs.
What's this we shit? Don't include me in the group as one of the many here who thought we should cut Shiancoe. I was one of only a handful of people that stuck up for him.

That Shiancoe "Hate" thread started long before the Colts game.
