Thread: Seriously! How will we DO next year?

I saved a poll for someone else to start up! Been lurking around NOT posting tho...my thoughts are allll screwed up but I am a hopeless romantic and believe our tradition will prevail as well as a FEW players having stellar years as I always do. Tell you one thing for sure and WE WILL be under the microscpoe alll season No way to get around it! Moss gone Vikes lose we deserved it! Moss gone Vikes win BEST thing the org ever did! Seriously can we MAKE the plaoffs and Bowl next year, and if so how... Honestly without doing any research as well as before the draft I don t know if we can be 500 with oiur Defense and NOW offense??? but SKOL Vike anyhow Purplepride forever... :thumbright:

If, and I me if, we sign some key FA agents I see us doing better than last year. Yes drafting a good player is important, but they always do not complement the team in their first year; however there are some exceptions.

What we should do:
Free Agency: Pick up Plaxico Burress and Pat Williams
Resign: Jermaine Wiggins and David Dixon
Trade: Michael Bennett and/or a pick forPatrick Surtain or Woodson/Buchannon
Draft: OLB Derrick Johnson #7 pick and Safety Brodney Pool #18 pick and draft Nugent With 2nd round pick.

And I think well be in the NFC Championship game.

I am so excited for Wednesday, and April 23-24

IF we can get through FA and your predictions come true, I would be a happy Vikes fan...even if we don't get the draft picks that you predict...FA is the key this year!!!

Sadly, some GM's wouldn't laugh when you say "Nugent in the second."

Nugent is a big-time kicker, and I actually would be happy picking him up in the 2nd if he wouldn't be avaliable in the third. I'm usually a follower of the whole "no kicker goes on the first day," but Nugent is the real deal.

As for how we'll do next season... I really don't see us doing any worse then we did this year.

If we draft good, get a few solid free agents, etc....I think we'll finish the season 10-6 or 9-7.

We would be the laughing stock, yet again, on draft day if we took Nugent with our second!

C'mon, kickers are people too, aren't they?

Yeah, we need one, but not in the second round! We should go after Jay Feeley or whoever the hell it was that the titans let go.
