I think Sid Hartman had a blurb a couple weeks back that the season ticket renewals were at [glow=red,2,300]only[/glow] 80%, due to the poor economy (of course I'm too busy... and lazy, to search for a link).Hopefully this means that ticket sales are doing well (Thanks AD!), and we won't face the possibility of blackouts...
I hope there are a lot of new ticket holders, otherwise we'll be facing blackouts.
And is it 80% tickets sold, or 80% of the ticket holders renewing?
It is hard to tell if that is positive or negative without context.
I am hoping that the performance of AD and Rice, coupled by the addition of BB and others will generate some excitement.
Now if we manage to have another great draft... we should be good!
I'll look for the quote.

The Vikings' season ticket renewal is reported to be down some 20 percent, and executive suites aren't as easy to sell as they have been in the past at $8,000 per game or $80,000 for a season.

We looked into one for a group last year, and it was only $3600 for the suite.
I guess there are different levels though...Zeus wrote:

Yeah, but I miss the days of old, when the dome was so damn loud that your ears rang the whole five hour drive home after the game.
You can't do that when there are empty seats...

What?Hooray!
I just talked with the ticket office and my season tickets moved up two rows this year.
I am now in Section 224, row 3, seats 3&4.
Last year, I moved up 9 rows.
I know that as you get lower you begin to move less and less, but I am taking this as a positive sign.
Hopefully this means that ticket sales are doing well (Thanks AD!), and we won't face the possibility of blackouts...
You didn't go for the suites with their own bathroom?
Besides, the wife only goes with me to a couple games a year.
Note: And, unless I am mistaken, the only suite seats with private bathrooms are the Touchdown club.
And I was told that the experience there sucked because people were not into the game.
Setting aside the free booze and food and the bathroom, you are correct - it was not as much fun as being out in the stadium.
It was at the Cardinals-Vikes game that Norm Coleman was sitting right by us in the suite - wearing a WILD jacket to a VIKING game.
What a tool.
